Dru “2Smooth” Wijemanne is a Canadian recording artist, songwriter, producer, public figure, brand ambassador and entertainer. Native to Toronto, Canada, he has released a total of 18 singles, 6 music videos and 1 studio album to date. 2Smooth has worked professionally as an entertainer in the fields of music, film and live entertainment for over 10 years. He has written over 120 songs professionally, ghostwriting for some of music’s elite.

He has opened for & performed alongside acts including Akon, Kardinal Official, Pussy Cat Dolls, Del a Soul, Beenie Man, Mavado, Serani, Drake, Julie Black, Estelle and many more.

2Smooth has already performed at over 1500 events for crowds from 100+ to 100K+ people, starting early in his teens as a member of “Red Flame Sound”. This group of artists and Djs helped pioneer the Jamaican reggae and dancehall sounds to the North American Market, and gave 2Smooth his first real taste of entertaining people worldwide. He has also been filmed and photographed for a variety of catalogues, publications and films for both big screen and small. He has taken acting classes and has acted in a variety of speaking and non-speaking roles.

In 2012, 2Smooth released his first gold single, “Everyday” to Hip-Hop’s critical acclaim. He also released 3 singles, including the hit “Ryder Music” in that year.

In 2013, 2Smooth released another hit: a remix to fellow Canadian artist Drake’s song, titled 5AM. 2Smooth’s debut LP, “1st World Slave, 3rd World King” was also released in that year.

In 2014, 2Smooth released the single “Alovera” and started a medical marijuana research company and a seed bank called “Alovera Seeds”. He also released the single, “Hail 2 Di King” that year, which reached the number 4 spot on the N1M Charts in Canada, receiving numerous award considerations.

In 2015, 2Smooth purchased his catalogue and a majority ownership of his recording label Jedi Temple Music Group. He has also released a line of THC infused coconut oil, named “BrowneezTHC”

In 2016 2smooth signed on to executive produce Thai Superstar DaboyWay of Thaitaniums debut solo album expected to be released in the fall/winter quarter of 2016. He also sold JTMG his label to Glitterati Media Group and signed to its subsidiary Glitterati-Gang, a Canadian based imprint as a producer and artist. His sophomore album is slated for release early 2017.

2Smooth has co-produced most of his own catalogue and has directed music videos and film media for himself, as well as for others.
He is a member of SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada), ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema,
Television and Radio Artists) and the GRAMMYs/NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences).
